Schoolhouse Odyssey: Melancholy Voices From the Past

  • Clarke Historical Museum 240 E Street Eureka, CA, 95501 United States (map)

Join HCHS and the Clarke Historical Museum for a shared lecture series!

Photographer Diana Schoenfeld shares her Schoolhouse Odyssey - more than two decades of photographing America’s often forgotten one room schoolhouses. Begun in 1995 in Humboldt County, continuing across the United States, from Vermont to California, from the Deep South to the Pacific Northwest, Schoenfeld has also gathered memories from former teachers and students as long ago as 1916.

The lecture will be held in person at The Clarke Historical Museum as well as online.
