An Insider’s Look at 75 Years of the Humboldt County Historical Society with Arlene Hartin

Arlene Hartin is a Eureka native and graduate of Humboldt State University and had a long career at the Caltrans, District 1 office in Human Resources. While there, she became the unofficial Caltrans historian, focusing her attention on the agency’s history.

In addition to family, work and friends, Hartin joined the Humboldt County Historical Society in 1962, and is one of its past presidents and an active member.  She is currently a Regional Vice President for the Conference of California Historical Societies, representing organizations in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties and the District 1 Rep for the Caltrans Quarter Century Club. Arlene will give us a look back at the rich and varied work of the Society, as well as its current projects.

This lecture will be held via Zoom through the Humboldt County Library and is free of cost.
