Film History from Behind the Redwood Curtain with Nate Adams

Nate Adams from the Humboldt and Del Norte Film Commission will speak on the film history of Humboldt and Del Norte counties, presenting a history of films that were shot on the North Coast from 1916-1938. Utilizing production shots, film clips and trailers, as well as newspaper articles from the day, Adams will provide a lively look at movies shot in our region over the last 100 years, including a short clip from the 1919 version of "Valley of the Giants." Time permitting, Adams will share clips and production shots from more recent films made in Humboldt and Del Norte counties.
