Growing Up on Granny Creek Growing Up on Granny Creek is a collection of 18 poems written by the late Humboldt County historian Martha Beer Roscoe for her children while the family was living at their ranch along the Mattole River in the 1920s. The collection of poems are printed in attractive script by the late Ferndale artist and rancher Viola McBride and are accompanied by McBride's delightful drawings. The poems are about familiar places and people, games and fantasies, feelings, observations and thoughts with which little people everywhere spend time. |
